Mary (Young) Bauer, 72, 3201 So. 24th Street, Milwaukee, died March 11 at Froedtert Hospital, 9200 West Wisconsin Ave. in Wauwatosa, as a result of complications of a stroke.
Mary was born April 16, 1927 in Oconto to the late Rial and Mary (Seidl) Young. She married Erwin Bauer on January 3, 1948 in Fond du Lac. Mary was employed by The Grand in Milwaukee as a secretary.
Mary was a member of St. Roman's Catholic Parish in Milwaukee.
Survivors include her husband, Erwin Bauer, of Milwaukee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gail (Gregory) Stong, of Milwaukee and Ginny (Tom) Frewerd of Oconto; three grandchildren, Jennifer and Christa Stong, of Milwaukee and Shawn Frewerd, of Oconto; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Carl and Marjorie (Young) Gross of Dearborn, MI, and Keith and Genevieve (Young) Santy of Green Bay; Tom and Erma (Bauer) Schaad, of Fond du Lac; Victor and Gloria Bauer, of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, and two sisters-in-law, Francis and Angela Young, of Oconto, James and Fern Young, of Milwaukee and George Young, of Oconto; two nephews, Eugene Loberger of Luxemburg, and Danny Schaad of Fond du Lac.
Family and friends may call at St. Roman's Catholic Church, 1900 Bolivar Ave. prior to funeral services, from 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15 until the 7 p.m. service, Fr. Bill officiating. Burial will be in the Oconto Catholic Cemetery following a Chapel service on Friday, March 17. Max A. Sass & Sons of Milwaukee assisting the family with arrangements.
