MARINETTE - Marion M. Wilson Whiffen, age 90, of 831 Pine Beach Road, Marinette, died Saturday evening, March 10, 2001 at the Luther Home. Marion was born February 21, 1911 in Mountain, WI to the late Irvin and Sadie (Close) Wilson. She married George Whiffen on December 21, 1929 in Milwaukee. George preceded her in death on April 2, 1988. For 18 years, Marion was the head cook at the Bear Paw Scout camp in Mountain.

Surviving are: one daughter – Shirley (William) Rushford – Menominee, MI., one son – Ronald (Audrey) Whiffen – Green Bay, WI., six grandsons; one granddaughter; six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Dennis.

Services were held at Luther Home Chapel on Saturday, March 17, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Mark Johnson officiated. Burial will be in Mountain, WI.
