Myrl Lambrecht Obituary

Myrl "J.R." W. Lambrecht, 56, Gillett, died suddenly Saturday May 12, 2012, at home from a brain aneurysm. He was born Aug. 20, 1955, in Oconto Falls, to Myrl and Stella (French) Lambrecht. Myrl graduated from Gillett High School with the class of 1973.

On Oct. 13, 1973, he married the love of his life, Kathryn Francois. The couple lived and farmed the family homestead and had one son, Justin. As a life long farmer who was always there to lend a helping hand to family and neighbors, "J.R." was also known and recognized as a top quality milk producer. In 2006, he and Kathy enjoyed their first vacation from the farm by traveling to visit their son, Justin, who was based at Naval Station San Diego in California. "J.R." enjoyed tractor pulls at the Oconto County Fair and was an avid collector of 1/16th scale Minneapolis Moline, John Deere and White Farm toy tractors, some of which he collected from farm toy shows and E-Bay. He took great pride in loving and caring for all his pets, especially his cats, Smokey, Scamp, Baby, Sassy, Shadow and Pickle. "J.R." will always be remembered as a loving husband and father and as a "very special" brother to Carole and Sandra. Myrl always looked forward to Friday's mail delivery when the Wisconsin State Farmer arrived, reading and dreaming. He also loved drinking Mountain Dew, listening to country music, rock 'n roll and watching Clint Eastwood, Westerns and Star Trek movies.

Survivors are his loving wife of 38 years, Kathy Lambrecht, Gillett; their one son, Justin Ross Lambrecht, Gillett; two sisters, Carole (Bill) Helser, Shiocton; Sandra (Neil) Bigelow, Oconto Falls; four nephews, Randy (Jane) Bigelow; Michael Bigelow; Matthew (Shro) Bigelow; John (Sue) Albert; many other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
