Marion June Benedum, 91, of Oconto, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008 at
Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls. Marion was born June 16, 1917 in
Ingram, WI to the late Tuffel and Emma (Lessor) Truckey. She married Alfred
Benedum on September 27, 1939. He preceded her in death on December 16,
1978. Marion was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Stiles. Marion is
survived by two daughters Mary Ann (Richard) Schroeder, Cincinnati, OH;
Shirley (Richard) Greeton, Oconto; two sons Alfred D. Benedum, China
Springs, TX; Thomas (Sharon) Benedum, Green Bay; three brothers Vittel
Truckey, Peshtigo; Amos (Clara) Truckey, Oconto; Napoleon Truckey, Oconto;
18 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, five sisters, a step-son Donald
(Joan) Benedum, a daughter-in-law Dora Benedum, and a grandson Jamie
Benedum. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher
Funeral Home, Oconto, form 4 to 8 PM Monday, June 23, 2008 with prayer
services by Deacon Walter Kaszynski at 7 PM. Visitation will continue on
Tuesday, June 24 from 10 to 11 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Stiles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 11 AM Tuesday at the church with
the Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Burial will be at the St. Patrick
Cemetery, Stiles. On line condolences may be expressed at
