MRS. M. S. JOHNSON DIED SUNDAY  
At Home of Her Son, Carl W. Johnson, in Kenosha  
Oconto 40 Years Ago - Husband

Mrs. Mary S. Johnson, widow of John Johnson, formerly partner of James Hemmingsen in the mercantile business here, passed away at the home of her son, Carl W. Johnson in Kenosha at 8:40 Sunday evening, after an illness of about 10 weeks with paralysis.

Deceased was born in Denmark February 2, 1854, and about 1874 came to Oconto which she always regarded as her home although recently residing at Kenosha in order to be near her sons.

She is survived by two sons, Hans P., assistant secretary and treasurer of the United States Glue Co., of Milwuakee and Carl W. of the Johnson-Hanson Co., Kenosha.

Her remains were brought here and the funeral held from the Danish Lutheran church, in which she took great interest and was a devoted member, at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Rev. J. N. Jersild officiating, with internment in Evergreen cemetery.

She had many staunch friends in this city whose sympathy will go out to the bereaved sons."
