Monday forenoon the funeral of Michael Ryan, an old and highly respected citizen of Rockland, took place from deceased residence to the Catholic Cemetery at Shanty Town. The procession was a very large one, there being over 100 teams in it. Mr. Ryan was ever a true type of God's noblest work----an honest man.
Shanty Town Cemetery (Irish) was not used after 1875. Michael is actually buried at Allouez Cemetery.
