O'Neil, Mary Rose "Posey"

Mary Rose "Posey" O'Neil, 89, Stiles, died Sunday evening, February 28, 2016 at Sharpe Care. She was born June 24, 1926 on the family farm in Stiles to John and Bernice (Kinney) Duame. She grew up in Stiles and attended Oconto Falls High School, graduating with the class of 1944. As a young lady, Posey worked at the Alamo Supper Club.

On May 8, 1948 she married Elden "Bud" O'Neil at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Stiles. Posey has lived in Stiles all of her life where she had been a life long member of St. Patrick Church. She also worked for LaCombe Floral for many years and, following the death of her husband, helped in her daughter Susan's home daycare business for 20 years. Posey will be lovingly remembered as a good sister, wife, mother and grandmother who loved being together with her family.

Survivors are her two daughters, Susan (Art) Paulson, Oconto Falls; Laurie (Jeff) Williams, Deephaven, MN; four grandchildren, Brooke (special friend Joe) Staab, Justin Paulson, twin brothers Connor and Mason Williams; one great grandson, Parker Staab; one brother, Jack Duame, Stiles; one sister, Patsy Devereux, Stiles; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, her husband Bud in 1995; two sisters, twin Jane (Herman) Lockstein and Joyce (Ivan) Pleir and sister-in-law Yvonne Duame.

Visitation will be held after 9am Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Stiles until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Saturday at the church with the Rev. Fr. Joel Sember officiating. Burial will take place in Oconto Catholic Cemetery.

The O'Neil family would like to thank Sharpe Care and Unity Hospice for the care and consideration give Posey during their time together. A big thank you to Posey's neighbors, Blaine and Debbie Konitzer for their love, support, and always being there whenever help was needed.
