Matthew Randall "Matt" Christensen, 15, 12206 Indian Ln., Gillett, died suddenly, Saturday morning, June 10, 2000, as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born July 6, 1984, in Shawano, to Keith Christensen and Catherine (Jaeger) Erdmann. Matt worked with his father, welding. He was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett. He was active in various sports and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.
Survivors include his father 'and step-mother, Keith and Theresa, Suring; his mother and step-father, Catherine and Kevin Erdmann, Gillett; one sister, Tera Christensen and her boyfriend, Joel Matczak, Pulcifer; one brother, Jonathan and his fiancee, Sarah Yanke, Gillett; paternal grandmother, Charlotte Christensen, Gillett; maternal grandmother, Nancy Jaeger, Gillett; paternal great-grandfather, Arno Free, Gillett; step-grandparents, Richard and Lois Carlson, Shawano; Ardith Fleischman, Athelstane; Darwyn Erdmann, Sheboygan; stepgreat-grandfather, Edwin Wilke, Sheboygan. Matt is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends, including his best friend, Beaner, his dog.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, and then at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett, Wednesday after 10:30 a.m. Funeral services, 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at the church, with the Rev. Dennis N. Nelson officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.
