Oldest Resident of Falls to be Buried  
Friday at Seymour 

Seymour, Wis. – Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Nikolay Meyer LeRoy, 97, a former resident of Seymour who died in the Oconto Hospital Monday evening, will be held at 9:30 Friday morning in St. John church at Seymour. The Rev. Adam Grill officiating and burial will be in St. John cemetery.

The body is at the Muehl funeral home where it may be viewed after 7 o’clock this evening. The rosary will be said at 8 o’clock Thursday evening.

Mrs. LeRoy was born in Prussia, Germany, Dec. 14, 1852, and came to this country with her parents when she was 10 years old. The family settled in Manitowac county. In 1875 she was married to John Meyer at Menominee, Mich.

Mr. Meyer died Feb. 22, 1929 and in May, 1932 she was married to Alfred LeRoy in Seymour. After his death in 1945 she made her home with her son John Meyer at Oconto Falls.

Active until about a year ago, Mrs. LeRoy was known for her beautiful fancy work and rug making. She was the oldest resident of Oconto Falls.

Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Harry Stammer, Appleton; three sons, George Meyer, Salem, Ore.; John Meyer, oconto Falls; and Frank, Antigo; a brother; John Nikolay, Seymour; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A son, Jake and two daughters, Mrs. Mamie S???? and Rose, preceded her in death.
