Marvin (Mulla) Zimmerman, 92, Oconto passed away April 7, 2005 at Country House nursing facility.

Marvin was born February 18, 1913 at Oconto to the late Gustav and Augusta (Gustke) Zimmerman. He married Florence A. Sloup June 26, 1943 at First American Lutheran Church Parsonage. He worked at Holt Planing Mill, and then at Bond Pickle Co. for 34 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of First American Lutheran Church. In 1929 he was instrumental in forming the Oconto Sportsman Club. He was one of its charter members and was also a lifetime member.

Marvin is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Florence; two sisters-in-law, Helen Jane Wesner, St. Francis, WI; Luella Sloup, Oshkosh, WI; nephews, Frank (Dolores) Roberts, Sun City, AZ; Dale (Alice) Roberts, Woodland, CA; Elton (Barbara) Babbitt, Tampa, FL; Wayne (Eileen) Babbitt, New Brighton, MN; Gerald (Gloria) Zimmerman, Green Bay, WI; Dean (Judy) Zimmerman, Sheboygan. WI; Douglas (Mavis) Zimmerman, Lakewood, WI; nieces, Audrey Hurd, White Bear Lake, MN; Judith (Floyd) Munkelwitz, St. Paul, MN; Ruth Young, Oconto, WI; 32 great-nieces and nephews; many great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Arthur and Harry; three sisters, Evelyn Ziemer, Esther Roberts and Margaret Babbitt.

Friends called at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto from 4 to 7 P. M. Saturday, April 9, 2005. Visitation continued Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the First American Lutheran Church. Funeral service was conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2005, at the church with Rev. Richard DeBenedetto officiating. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
