Funeral rites will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home and at 2:30 from First American Lutheran Church for Mrs. Mathilda Werth 80, who passed away at 1:50 Monday morning at her home, 609 Superior Avenue, death being caused by diabetes. The Rev. E. T. Reiff will conduct the services and burial will be in the Oconto Evergreen cemetery

The casket will be carried by Ernest Wittkopf, Charles Werth, Wm. Strutz, Juliuis Riewe, Edmund Clason and Albert Phode.

Mathilda Meitzner was born May 6, 1856 in Germany. She was married to Gustave H. Werth, who died Sept. 26 1919, in Germany on May 1, 1882 and the left immediately for America, arriving in Oconto on May 30th, of the same year. Mrs. Werth was a member of the Ladies Aid of the First American Lutheran church.

Survivors are five children, Mrs. Gust Rathke, (Mathilda) of Plymouth, Mrs. P. J. Marineau, (Beatrice) of Marinette; Henry, city, Erwin of Matoon, Ill., and Mrs. Edna Davis, at home; and 14 grandchildren.

Note: Died 16 Nov. 1935, buried 19 Nov. 1939 according to Evergreen Cemetery Records.
