Mrs. Margaret Whitcomb, 67, 137 N. Adams St., Oconto, died early this morning in an Oconto hospital after a short illness. She was born May 4, 1908 in the town of Stiles and was a lifelong Oconto County resident. Mrs. Whitcomb was employed at the Great Lakes Shoe company for 15 years. The former Margaret McAllister married Crosby (Cobb) Whitcomb, Oct. 11, 1930 in Stiles. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Joseph and the Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Patricia) Renquin, Green Bay; Mrs. Charles (Laura) Violette, Milwaukee; Mrs. Sally Danecki, DePere; one son, Patrick whitcomb, Green Bay; one brother Leigh McAllister, Leigh High Acres, Florida, three sisters, Mrs. Claude (Millie) Van Hefty, Town of Oconto; Mrs. Chris (Joyce) Dalton, Kearns, Utah; Mrs. Ralph (Florence) Peachman, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, One great-grandson. She was preceeded in death by one sister and three brothers.

Friends may call at Gallagher-Pinkart Funeral Home, Oconto, after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Prayer service 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Martin Fox officiating Burial in the Brookside Cemetery.
