Mrs. Mildred P. Swords, 142 Bridge Street, Oconto died Sunday morning, January 10, 1999 at home.
The former Mildred Meyer was be July 21, 1909 Oconto, the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (LaFortune) Meyer. She married George R. Swords, Jr. July 7, 1930 at St. Patrick Parish, Milwaukee. The couple resided in Milwaukee most of their married life. Her husband preceded her in death July 8, 1987. Mildred then returned to Oconto in 1988.
Surviving are a son Richard, Oconomowoc; two daughters Arlene (Robert) Pratt, Oconto and Gloria (Tony) Kelp, Milwaukee; a sister Bernice Leiske, Tuscon; brother Eugene Meyer, Oregon; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grand children.
Mildred was preceded in death by four brothers, Edmund, Floyd, Lee, and Walter, and by a sister Dorothy Rabe.
At Mildred's request there will be no visitation or funeral. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Palmyra.
