MRS. MARY RACE
LITTLE SUAMICO, DIES

Another old settler of Suamico, Mrs. Mary Race died Wednesday at the home of her son Edward, she had been ill for some time but death came unexpectedly. Mrs. Race, nee Maty Dehas, was born in Germany Jan. 1, 1851, and came to America at the age of nine. She lived at Sturgeon Bay until June 11, 1868 when she was married to John Race at Pensaukee and then came to Suamico.

Survivors are four sons, John, William, and Edward, Little Suamico, and Frank, Oconto. Also three brothers, Philip, Jacob and Martin Dehas; Sturgeon Bay and one sister, Mrs. Elisabeth O'Neil, Everett Wash. There are 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held this afternoon from the home of Edward Race at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Paul C. Eggert. of Brookside officiated.
