Mrs. Mary Gerhard, 83, a resident of the Town of Dunbar for the past three years, died Sunday at the home of her son Lindle Gehling, in the Town of Dunbar. Although she had been in ill health for the past year, death, which was due to a heart condition, was unexpected.

Funeral services were held at the O. F. Methodist church with the Rev. Lloyd Foster of Gillett officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery in Oconto Falls.

Mrs. Gerhard, the former Mary McEwing, was born in Oconto April 22, 1867, and lived there and in Oconto Falls before moving to Amberg in 1889. She returned to Oconto Falls in 1894, and for the next 25 years spent her summers in Wisconsin and the winter months in Florida.

Surviving are three sons, Robert of Suring, and Clarence and Lindle of Dunbar; four daughters, Ellen Gehling and Mrs. Estelle Daniel of Dunbar, Mr. R. A. Greb of Clintonville and Mrs. Clark Rouse at Lansing, Mich., one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Reilly of Manitowoc, 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
