Dufek, Michael

Michael "Mike" Dufek, 53, of Oconto, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Aurora Hospital, Green Bay. Mike was born October 15, 1962 in Oconto to Russell and Joanne Dufek. He married Cindy Groll on July 22, 1988. Mike loved spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, working on anything and everything "broken", and especially time at the cabin. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, and United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 1146. In life Mike gave of himself, in death he continues to do so through the donation of himself through organ procurement.

Mike is survived by his wife, Cindy Dufek, Oconto; two daughters, Emily and Allysen Dufek; mother, Joanne (Don)Rhode, Oconto; two sisters, Vicki (Jeff) Krein, Hurley; Chris (Denny) Dionne, Oconto; nephew, Devon (fiancée Nicole) Dionne and great niece Alyssa. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Dufek, and sister, Sandi Dufek.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 11 AM to 2 PM Saturday, February 20, 2016. Memorial services will be conducted 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joel Sember officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.

Mike always had a story to tell. After the service the family would like to invite you to share stories of Mike at The Legion Golf Course, Oconto.
