SUDDEN DEATH OF YOUNG WOMAN

Mrs. George Brooks Dougherty nee Mary MacAllister at Milwaukee Ill Only Short Time - Remains Brought to Oconto for Interment

Mrs. George Brooks Dougherty, nee Mary MacAllister, of Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Angus MacAllister of this city, died last Friday evening at Trinity hospital, Milwaukee, very suddenly of peritonitis. The news of her death was a terrible shock to her relatives as they did not have time to get to Milwaukee after receiving the news of how serious her illness was. Her sister, Harriett, and brother, Lieut. R. E. MacAllister, were with her during her last hours. Deceased had been a resident of Oconto but for the past several years made her home in Milwaukee.

She leaves to mourn her untimely death her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Angus MacAllister, three sisters, Mrs. F. Robert Flynn of San Francisco, Cal., Mrs. David Morton of Chicago, and Miss Harriett at home and four brothers, Charles, William and Edward of Camas, Wash., and Lieut. R. E. MacAllister of Fort Sheridan, ILL. Her remains arrived here Saturday afternoon from Milwaukee and the funeral was held yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) from the home of her parents, Rev. E. W. Wright officiating and her remains were laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.

Deceased was a lady much beloved by all who knew here and her sudden demise is keenly felt by her relatives and numerous friends. The floral offerings were many and profuse. Mr. and Mrs. MacAllister and family have the heartfelt sympathy of their friends in in their bereavement.

Those from out of town who were present at the funeral were Mrs. F. Robert Flynn of San Francisco, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. David Morton and baby of Chicago, Lieut. R. E. MacAllister of Fort Sheridan, ILL, Mrs. Omer G. Bryant of Milwaukee, a cousin of deceased, who accompanied the remains to Oconto, and Mrs. W. P. Belanger of Escanaba
