He was born October 21, 1934 in Algoma to the late Henry and Adeline (Peterson) Lessmiller. Les lived most of his life in Green Bay and moved to Daytona Beach, Fl. Les (also nicknamed "Gruff" by those who knew him well) greatly enjoyed anything having to do with Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed gardening and working his his yard. Les married the former Judy Willems and they shared 39 years of unconditional love for each other. This same love was extended to each of his children. The example he set as a loving father and husband will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife Judy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Les and Barb Lessmiller, Stoughton; Len and Shari Lessmiller, Fond du Lac; two daughters, Lee Lessmiller, Green Bay and Lynn Lessmiller, Suring; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth and Marvin, both of Green Bay; two sisters, Mildred, Green Bay and Jeannie, Kewaunee.
The family received relatives and friends at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Green Bay after 1 p.m. Sunday until time of service. Memorial service was held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Green officiating. Burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Algoma.
