In 1926 she was asked by the Gillett Women's Club, of which she was a charter member and past Vice-President, to assist them in starting a library. She became the first librarian in the City of Gillett and continued her services as librarian and board member for over 30 years.
She and her husband were active members of the Tabor United Methodist Church, Gillett, teaching Sunday School for many years, singing in the church choir, and actively engaged in the women's groups. Wherever and whenever she was needed, she was there.
She was also a chatter member of the American Legion Auxilary and a member of the Eastern Star in Gillett. She was the epitome of the word lady and her death leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jordan and Nadine Korotev, Green Bay; five grandchildren and their spouses, Randall and Betty, St. Louis, Mo.; James and Debra,' Fitchburg; Kathleen and Paul Mickle, Green Bay; Kevin, Charleston, W, Va.; Laura Korotev, Green Bay; four nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Claire
(Lampman) Webb; and her busband, Stanley, on Aug. 16, 1970. Friends may
call at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Eastern
Star Service 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Church service at Tabor United Methodist
Church, Gillett, at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. David Buster officiating.
Internment in Wanderer's Rest Cemetery, Gillett.
