S0BIESKI WOMEN DIES;
NEARLY 100

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Kurek, who would have been 100 years of age August 15, were held last Friday morning at 9 o'clock from St. John's Catholic church at Sobieski with the Rev. Fr. Borowski officiating. Burial was made in the Catholic cemetery at Sobieski. She died last Tuesday at the home of John Ostrenga, Sobieski.

She was born in Poland, August ,15, 1831, and came to the United States in 1889. She had been a resident of the village of Sobieski for 38 years.

Mrs. Kurek is survived by her nine children, Mrs. John Ostrenga and Vincent, Sobieski: John, Agnes and Stella, Cicero, Ill. and Jacob, Andrew, Casimer and Tillie, all in Poland.
