Mr. John Phalen and family, of the Sugar Bush, have been sorely afflicted of late, by that grim monster, death. A few weeks ago Mrs. Charles Price, a daughter-in-law, was laid to rest and Monday forenoon, from St. Mary’s Catholic church, the last rites occurred over the remains of Mrs. John Phalen, who died the previous Friday evening, leaving a husband, four sons and a daughter. She was 61 years of age. She was a very estimable lady, and will be missed by a large circle of friends. The editor’s family had the pleasure of her acquaintance and never met her but she was solicitous as to its welfare. The afflicted family has the sympathy of all.
