Hanson, Marilyn

Marilyn Jean Hanson 83, Oconto passed away peacefully Monday April 4, 2016 at Sun Valley Homes, Oconto. She was born January 31, 1933 in Oconto to the late William and Ethel (Werth) Finger. Marilyn was a lifetime member of First American Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday school for many years and served on various ministry teams and committees. While Marilyn worked various jobs through the years, she learned to take one day at a time, enjoying family and friends as a gift from God. Our mother was most happy in the kitchen making a dish to pass to someone in need, or preparing for a family holiday celebration. She is survived by 5 children James (Kathleen) Hanson, Oconto; Diane Motiff (Tom Larson), Oconto; Daniel Hanson, Oconto; Beth (Kurt) Hensberger, Lena; Paula Moe (Lloyd Kloehn), Sobieski; 7 grandchildren Heather (David) Noto, Amanda Younger, Jeremy (Amanda) Hanson, Melissa Coshenet (Pete Duerr), Andrew (Rachel) Coshenet, Haylie and Ryan Moe. 3 great-grandchildren Thomas John Koch Jr., James Noto, and Anastasia Coshenet. 1 brother Eugene (Gerri) Finger; 1 sister-in-law Alleen Finger; 1 brother-in-law John Scanlan; nieces and nephews William Finger, Pattie (Dave) Wagner, Michael (Karen) Finger, Tim (Julie) Finger, Mary (Tim) Buss, Wanda (Ron) Hugo, Penny (Randy) Schmidt, Mary Jo (Dave) Sullivan, Cathy (Rick) Bystra, Richard Scanlan, Pattie (Mark) Hansen, Tom (Chris) Scanlan. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Charles (Jean) Finger, Robert Finger, and 1 sister Judith Scanlan. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10 am until time of service Friday at First American Lutheran Church, Oconto. Memorial Service 12 noon Friday April 8, 2016 at the Church with Pastor Mary Zupansic officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto.
