Mr. Boldt lived in the Oconto Falls area for over 42 years and was employed as an electrician and millwright at the Paper Mill. He was also active on the Oconto Falls Village Board and later served on the city council. For five years he served on the Oconto Falls School Board. He also was a 50 year member of the Oconto Falls Masonic Lodge No. 293 F. & A.M. and also a member of the past Patron of the Oconto Falls O.E.S. No. 182.
Upon moving to East Troy where he had made his home for over 20 years, Mr. Boldt was employed as a custodian for the Shea Smith Estate for 15 years. He then retired and made his home on Center Street ever since. He was a faithful member of St. James Methodist Church of East Troy, and visited the St. James Lodge No. 41 F. & A.M. and the Vesper Chapter No. 12 O.E.S. quite frequently.
He is survived by his wife, Anna, two children, Mrs. Grace Westphal and Walter Boldt, both of East Troy. A daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, two grandchildren, Maxine and Larry Westphal, two sisters, Mrs. Rose Dutton of Suamico, and Mrs. Hattie Ellerbrock of California, a brother, Irving Boldt of Milwaukee, and other relatives and friends. A nephew, Martin Gustke of the Falls, who lived with Boldt family for many years, also survives.
A funeral service was held at St. James Methodist Church, on Wednesday morning. On Wednesday evening the Oconto Falls Lodge No 293 held Masonic services at Soulek Funeral Home. Following the service on Thursday, Mr. Boldt was interned in the family lot at Woodlawn.
