Margery M. Holmes Hanson

Margery M. Hanson, 85, Oconto Falls, died Thursday morning, September 7, 2000 at Sharpe Care, Ltd.

She was born July 20, 1916 in Fifield, Wisconsin to Elmer and Ferril (Runk) Holmes. On February 27, 1933 she married Edgar A. Farrar in Breed. The couple farmed in the Mountain-Breed area before moving to the family farm at County Line in Oconto County, where they lived until 1961. The couple then moved to Island Lake, Illinois where Margery worked at Oak Manufacturing in Crystal Lake for about 14 years. Her husband Edgar preceded her in death in 1968. She later married Anthony "Ted" Tarello in Wauconda, Illinois. They lived in Illinois until moving back to Oconto County, Wisconsin in 1977. Ted preceded her in death in 1981. She then married Elvin Hanson and they lived in Oconto Falls until he also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Lena United Methodist Church while living in Wisconsin.

Survivors are her eight children, Roland (Ricki) Farrar, New Buffalo, MI; Marvel M. (Jim Sr.) Kuntz, Green Bay; Dawn M.(Dan) Dunn, Deerfield, IL; Kenrick L. Farrar, Oconto Falls; Leila I. (Doug) Gartshore, McHenry, IL; Luella I. (Ron) Whiting, Lena; Randy E. (Marie "Dee Dee"), Wauconda, IL; Terry L. (Deborah) Farrar, Oconto Falls; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchi1dren.

Besides her parents and husbands she was also preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters and two grandsons.

Friends called at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls after 4 p.m. Friday until the time of services. Funeral services were held 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Cho officiating. There also was services conducted at Woodridge Memorial Park chapel in Cary, Illinois at 2 p.m. Saturday with burial following.
