Mrs. Marlene B. Deprey, 61, 7074 Hwy 22 East, Oconto Falls, died unexpectedly Sunday evening, March 5, 2000 at Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls.

The former Marlene Hearley was born April 8, 1938 at Oconto, the daughter of Peter and Veronica (Patenaude) Hearley. Marlene was united in marriage to Gene Deprey on March 17, 1957. She operated the Green Thumb Green House, Oconto Falls, for a number of years and also had been employed by the former Falls Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Oconto Falls.

Marlene will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband, Gene; four daughters and their husbands, Carol and Edward Dunks, Joan and Kevin Noack, Sue and Robert Schmidt, and Brenda and Tom Margis all of Oconto; a son Gene Deprey, Jr. of Oconto Falls; her mother, Veronica Hearley of Oconto; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bernard Hearley of Butler, Francis and Faye Hearley of Oconto, Robert and Linda Hearley of Abrams; a sister and brother-in-law, Bernadette "Pat" and Jim Clark of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Nickolas, Rebecca, Chad and Brian; a brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Willard and Beatrice Deprey of Abrams, Rose Bowen and Anita Hearley, both of Oconto; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Michael and Robert; her father, Peter Hearley; two brothers, George and Franklin; a sister-in-law, Anna Hearley, and by a brother-in-law, Herbert Bowen.

There will be no visitation. Mass of Resurrection 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Oconto Falls. The Rev. Fr. Harry Beerntsen officiated. Interment at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
