Mrs. Emma Hansen, 84, a Gold Star mother, died at 11:30 last night at her home on French Street after an illness of three months. Death was attributed to complications attributed to old age.

Mrs. Hansen was born in Sweden and had been a resident of this city more then half a century. She was a member of the auxiliary of Carlson-Aiguire Legion post, Norwegian Ladies Aid society and the Women’s Relief Corps. Surviving are one daughter, three sons, 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The daughter is Mrs. Frank Baye of Racine and three sons are Harry of Racine, Axel and Edwin of Peshtigo.

The remains were taken to the Harper Funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Axel Hansen home on French Street and at two o’clock at the Norwegian Lutheran church, the Rev. Homer Johnson officiating. The body will be placed in the mausoleum at Riverside cemetery.
