Maria K. Gomber, 39, McKenzie Street, Gillett died unexpectedly July 21, 2001. She was born May 13, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Fred and Donna (McCartney) Edwards. Maria Edwards graduated with the Preble High School Class of 1980. She married Anton Gomber August 3, 1996 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Suring. Currently Maria was employed by Walmart in Shawano as a Customer Service Manager. Her hobbies include cooking, hunting, reading, photography, and music. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband "Tony" of Gillett; her parents Fred and Donna (McCartney) Edwards of Suring; her three children Rachelle, Cassandra and Daniel Apsey all of Gillett; her brother, Christopher (Michelle) Edwards of Gillett; her two sisters Robin (Steven) Befay of Suring, Jennifer Edwards of Green Bay; father and mother-in-law, Peter and Patricia Gomber of Gillett; maternal grandmother, Helen McCartney of Cincinnati, OH; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Tuesday, July 24, from 4 p.m. until funeral services 7:30 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Suring with Father William Stengel officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
