Mervyn E. DeLANO

Mervyn Edward DeLano, 62, 4365 Cty. Tk J, Oconto passed away January 2, 2000, at St. Vincent Hospital. (Green Bay).

Mervyn was born July 22, 1937. He married Judy Matheys August 4,1956. Mervyn hobby farmed all his life. He worked at the Red Owl Warehouse in Green Bay for 32 years, He also drove truck for Veriha Trucking and Skinner Transfer until retiring in 1990.

He was an active member of First American Lutheran Church, Oconto having served on the church council and as Sunday School Superintendent. He also served as Cub Scout Master, Little League Coach, L. L. R. coordinator for children and adults and was a Pensaukee Volunteer Fireman.

He served in the 32nd Division (Red Arrow) of the national guard. Mervyn enjoyed Challengers Group, N. E. W. Curative Workshop and the Stroke Support Group. Mervyn was a devout father and husband and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Judithe; his father Edward DeLano, Oconto; a daughter DeeAnne Kerlin, Milwaukee; two sons Robert (Shannon) DeLano, Pulaski; Jason DeLano and fiancee Tricia, Chicago; a sister Yvonne (Gordon), Schmid, Green Bay; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother June DeLano.

Friends may call at the Gallagher Funeral Home; Oconto, from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and at the First American Lutheran' Church, Oconto from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Friday. Funeral service will: be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 7,. 2000 at the church with Rev. Richard DeBenedetto officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
