Merrill C. "Ace" Parker, 77, of Maiden Lake, Mountain, WI formerly of Milwaukee, died September 12, 2000.

Ace was born February 1, 1923 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Merrill C. and Viola (Wood) Parker, Sr. Ace grew up in Milwaukee. After graduating from High School he served in the Army Anti-aircraft Artillery during WWII. After the war, he married Evelyn Grap on June 14, 1941. While living in the Milwaukee area he worked as a machine repairman for the Burroughs Corp for over 40 years retiring in 1983. He loved fishing and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in Townsend, WI.

He is survived by his bride of 53 years, Evelyn; five daughters, Diane (Gary) Prange, Brown Deer, WI; Jill Pinzer, Greenfield, WI; Sharon (Tom) McCartan, Falls, WI; Karen I Orlovitz, Milwaukee; Joy (Howard) Schmidt, Theresa, WI; three sisters-in-law, LaVerne Werner, Milwaukee; Eileen Sallmann, Mountain, WI; Nancy Grap, New Jersey; one brother-in-law, Al (Muriel) Grap, Grafton; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one special niece, Barbara (Mike) Hughes, West Bend; other nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Earl.

The visitation and funeral services were held on Saturday September 16, 2000 at St. John Lutheran Church, Townsend. Pastor Gary Bratz officiated. Burial was at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Monday September 18. Suminski Funeral Home, Wabeno, assisted the family with arrangements.

He was loved by many and will be sadly missed.
