Mary L. JOHNSON, 99, Milwaukee, formerly of Oconto Falls, died Tuesday morning, June 22, 1999 at St. Anne's Home For The Elderly.
She was born November 5, 1899 in Ashland County, Ohio, to John and Harriet (McNABB) CAMP. She was born and raised on the McNABB family farm, graduating from Wooster High School with the class of 1919. On May 2, 1922 she married Andrew JOHNSON in Wooster, Ohio. The couple lived in Oregon and Illinois before moving to Chilton in 1923. The couple retired to Oconto Falls in 1963 where Mary lived until April of 1983 when she moved to Milwaukee to live with her daughter. When living in Oconto Falls she was an active member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her loving daughter with whom she resided until very recently, Isabelle JOHNSON, Milwaukee; one brother, John Robert CAMP, Massachusetts; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Andrew on January 29, 1980 and two brothers, Edward and Howard.
Visitation was held at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services were held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jodi Arpke-Lone officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Chilton.
