Pioneer Lady Passed Away Last Saturday  
 

Miss Mary Campbell, Resident of Oconto Falls for Fifty-Five Years.

Miss Mary Campbell, an old resident here for the past 55 years, died at the home of her nephew, Mrs. Herbert McMillan, on September 15, 1928. She was at the time of her death 82 years, 5 days old. She was born in Campbellsport, Restigouche County, New Brunswick, Canada, on September 10, 1846. In 1873 she came to Oconto Falls. She built her home on 401 Depot Street in 1895.

She was laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery on Monday, September 17. The services were conducted at the house at 1:30 p.m. and at the church at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Hugh A. Misdall.

The pallbearers were John O’Leary, Al Armitage, A.B. Judd, Wm. Perry, Barney Flatley, and Alexander Pattersen.

She leaves to mourn her departure many relatives and friends.
