Mabel McTavish, 98, 101 First St., Oconto died December 27, 2000 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center, Oconto.
Mabel was born May 2, 1902 at Oconto to the late George and Amelia (Olsen) Belongia. She married Franklin McTavish November 20, 1924; he preceded her in death on June 5, 1960.
Mabel was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and was a charter member of the St. Anne Society.
Survivors include her son, Donald (Cecilia) McTavish, Rothschild; two sisters Agnes Nerenhausen, Oconto; Josephine Herald, Oconto; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy 'Pat' McTavish, Oconto; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Joseph 'Sandy' McTavish; a daughter, Rosemary Petroske; four brothers and seven sisters.
Friends called on Friday at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto. St. Anne Rosary was recited and a parish wake service was held. Mass of Christian Burial was 10 a.m. Saturday, December 30, at Holy Trinity Parish with Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
