She was born April 10, 1906, in Brazeau, Wis., daughter of the late George and Sophie (Porier) Brazeau. Mildred married Clarence Lessor on Feb. 18, 1925. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1977. She was a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church and St. Rita’s Circle. She enjoyed baking, knitting, fishing, playing cards and spending time at camp.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Ruth Doehr) Lessor, Floyd (Colleen) Lessor and Lenard (Betty) Lessor, all of Kingsford; a daughter, Beverly (John) Conery of Kingsford; two brothers, Lloyd (Eileen) Brazeau of Green Bay, Wis. and Felix Brazeau of Elma, Wash.; two sisters, June Andreoli of Kingsford and Olive Suchan of Oconto Falls, Wis.; 14 grandchildren, Dixie Quick of Kingsford, Ricky Lessor of Kingsford, Lynn (Walt) Theeck of Iron Mountain, Steven (Marsha) Conery of Kingsford, Carol (Peter) Lodl of Niagara, Wis., Chad Lessor of Kingsford, Eugene Lessor of Farmington, lower Michigan, Greg Lessor of Farmington, lower Michigan, Leslie (Anthony) Buckowski of Farmington, lower Michigan, Kenneth (Donna) Lessor of Norway, Dale Lessor of Iron Mountain, David Lessor of Adrian, lower Michigan, Diane (Jeff) Presley of Randville and Dennis Lessor of Iron Mountain; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Leroy Lessor and a brother, Russell Brazeau.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain. Parish prayers will be recited Friday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at 11 a.m. at American Martyr’s Catholic Church in Kingsford. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery. Pallbearers will be K.G. Lessor, Chad Lessor, Nick Harvath, Tom Quick, Eric Theeck, Michael Mathena and Jason Conery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
