JAHNKE FUNERAL WILL BE HELD IN OCONTO SATURDAY
Mrs. Mathilda Jahnke, 67, R1 Abrams, died at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday. She had been ill for the past four or five years.
The deceased was born Sept. 20, 1883 in Germany, and came to the United States when five years old, living first in Stiles and moving later to Abrams when she had since made her home. Her husband, the late William Jahnke, preceded her in death 13 years ago.
The body was taken to the Gallagher Funeral home here, and services have been tentatively set for the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Brookside cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Victor Kollath, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Carl Ward, Stiles; seven sons, Arthur and Bernard, Milwaukee; William Jr., and Emmett, Abrams; Robert, Porterfield; Curtis, Peck, Idaho and Lloyd, R2 Oconto; two brothers, Charles Baerenwald, Gillett, and Otto, Belfield, N.D. and seven grandchildren.
