Mrs. Martha Zarling, 84, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Lauft, Appleton, Sunday afternoon, November 13. She had been ailing for the past 12 years.
Mrs. Zarling was born Feb. 12, 1876 in Germany. She was the former Martha Anders and had lived in Oconto County for the past 68 years. Since last July she had been making her home with her daughter at Appleton. She was previously married to William Wolfe, who died in 1925. In 1931 she married John Zarling and he died in 1952 (?).
She leaves her daughter, Mrs. Carl Lauft, Appleton, 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Chas. Baerenwald (sp?), Gillett.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 o'clock at St. John Lutheran Church, Gillett. The Rev. R. C. Stubenvoil will officiate and interment will be in Wanderers' Rest Cemetery, Gillett. Friends may call at the Kuehl Funeral Home after one o'clock on Tuesday until 11 o'clock Wednesday and after that at the church until the time of service.
