Michael A. SNYDER

Michael A. Snyder, 48, 3403 County S, Little Suamico, died unexpectedly Thursday, September 8, 1999 at home of natural causes.

Mike was born July 19, 1951 in Green Bay , the son of Frank and Lola (Topel) Snyder. He was a 1969 graduate of Oconto High School and was a Sergeant 5th class in the U.S. Army where he served in Korea, Following the Service, Mike attended the University of Wisconsin Green Bay from 1975 until 1978. He had been employed by Green Bay Transit as a bus Driver, Schneider National as an Interstate Tractor/Trailor Driver, KI International, and at the time of his death was employed as a production technician for GENCORP Polymeer Products, Howard.

Michael was verry much a people person. He was a Safety Committee Member at GENCORP, a volunteer for NEWCAP in Oconto and Spot O' Heaven Handicapped Riding Facility, and was a former Team Coorddinator at KI.

One of Mike's greatest joys in life was music. He played various instruments and had a passion for Blur Grass. He enjoyed helping people, making them laugh , and was funloving, carefree, a practical jokeer, and prankster.

He leaves behind to morn his death; his parents, Frank and Lola Snyder, Oconto; his fiance, Nancy Bjarnarson and her children Travis & Joanna, Oconto; his brothers, Mark Snyder and special friend Margie Murphy, Brookside, Tom Snyder and his wife Nancy and Dan Snyder and his wife JoAnne, Green Bay, Roger Snyder and his wife Karen, Oak Orchard, Bruce Snyder and his wife Debbie, Pensaukee, and Doug Snyder , Oconto; his sisters, Jane Sconzert, Oconto and Sue Jepson and her husband Mike, Oak Orchard; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by grandpaarents, and by a brother-in-law, John Sconzert.

Rhodes-Chararata Funerral Home, 121 Chicago Street, Oconto, Sunday, Sept. 12,1999. Monday, Mass of Resurrection at the church. Rev. Fr. David C Ruby officiated. Interment at Brookside Cemetery.

The Oconto Ameerican Legion Post conducted military rites at the graveside.
