Monica A. "Moni" Nackers, 87, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016. She was born on May 26, 1928, in Oconto to Alfred and Phyllis (Merline) Clausen.

Spending much of her childhood in Oconto, Moni moved to Green Bay and attended West High School. After school, she worked as a switchboard operator for the telephone company. On September 29, 1951, Moni married Roland J. Nackers at St. Willebrord Catholic Church; he preceded her in death on April 24, 2003.

During her lifetime, she worked at Elm Tree and Baker Boy as a cake decorator. Moni loved to be surrounded by her family, especially on the holidays. She also loved tennis, bowling, sewing, and reading.

Monica is survived by seven of her eight children and their spouses: Julie and John Westphal, Park Falls, WI; Thomas and Lisa Nackers, Malvern, PA; Jill and Gary DeLaruelle, Green Bay; Terry and Cathy Nackers, Lawrenceville, GA; Scott Nackers, Green Bay; Lynn and Douglas LaRock, Green Bay; Connie and Drake Hynes, Green Bay; 18 grandchildren, Kelly (Brian) VandenHeuvel, Kristofer (Rachel) Westphal, Jeremy (Sophie) Westphal, Sara Nackers, Pamela (Robert) Livingston, Elizabeth (William) Johanek, Ali and Ashley Nackers, April (Joseph) Johnson, Amy (Bikens) Pierre, Kaitlin (Jonathan) Jackson, Kyle (Christine) Nackers, Kelsey Nackers, Joseph (Kylie) LaRock, Randal (Johanna) LaRock, Jonathan, Seth and Alex Hynes; 20 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Keri, and Kevin VandenHeuvel, Gretchen, Joshua and Hannah Westphal, Eloise and Matthieu Westphal, Charlotte Johanek, Warren, Nadine, Ethan and Adeline Johnson, Jared, Dominic and Caleb Pierre, Peter Jackson, Olivia, Owen and Easton LaRock; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Carl Johnson, Krakow; Harold (Judy) Nackers, De Pere; Arlene Arnold, Green Bay; Lucille Verhaagh, De Pere; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland; son, Richard; her parents; and all of her siblings, Bernie (Brad) Landry, Peggy (Bill) McNeil, Bob (Sarah) Clausen, Ruth Johnson, Phyllis (Dave) Mayo; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bob Arnold, Joe Verhaagh, Rita (Chuck) Olbrantz.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday. Friends may also call at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 3370 Deerfield West, Suamico, from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Father Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M. officiating. Burial will be in St. Benedict Cemetery.
