Mrs. Anna Johnson

Impressive services attended by many, marked the funeral of Mrs. Anna Johnson, wife of City Clerk A.W. Johnson, which were conducted at the First M.E. church here at one thirty and in the Riverside Chapel at Appleton at the sunset hour last Friday.

The remains were borne by Messrs A.J. Peterson, Sam Patterson, Emmett Johnson, James Volk, Martin Delzer and George Cleveland. The flower girls were Mesdames Ila Foster and Hazel Arton and the Misses Grace Boldt and Emily Volk.

Three pastors took part in the rites, the Rev. V.T. Nearhoof of the local church, the Rev. T.J. Reykdahl of Neenah, a former pastor here and the Rev. W.A. Newing of Mayville, a close friend of the family. Mmes. Benson Schaub, Fairburn Flowers, F.J. Kilmer and A.P. Lehner rendered "Abide with Me" and "Asleep in Jesus" and Mrs. Schaub sang, "Jesus Savior, Pilot Me" at the services here, while at Appleton Rev. Reykdahl and a friend sang "Rock of Ages" as a duet.

The following Falls friends accompanied the cortege to Appleton; Messrs and Mesdames Jos. Pavlik, Wm. Wittmann, Messrs. H. Clapp, Howard Elliott, W.E. Goddard, E.H. Spiegle, Mesdames John Waldron, John Birr, Earl La Porte, Roland Rice, B.C. Bunn, Chas. Coppens, Chas. Coopman, F.J. Kilmer, A.E. Schaub, Paul Eilke, Etta Riner and Miss Myrtle Goddard.

Friends and relative from Green Bay who were present included Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dewey, Mrs. Ann Halting and son and daughter and Miss Gladys Dewey and Appleton relatives were H.V. Johnson and the Misses Ada L. and Rose E. Johnson.
