Mrs. Mary Ann Gallagher, 84, of Madison, mother of Cecilia Gallagher, Central High school teacher, and Kathry Gallagher, East high school teacher, died Thursday, December 19 at her home after a short illness. Mrs. Gallagher had been a Madison resident for the past eight years.

Born in LeRoy, N.Y., she was a former resident of Stockbridge and Oconto Falls. She was a member of the Sacred Heart League of Holy Redeemer Church, Madison. Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:00 in St. Mary’s church at Stockbridge, with the Rev. W.A. Kirsting, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The body was taken to Stockbridge from the Joyce funeral home in Madison early Saturday.

The Gallagher family is well known here and heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved daughters. Mrs. Gallagher was held in high esteem by all who knew her.
