Leatrice "Lea" Mae Lotter, 70, Oconto Falls, entered peacefully into the joy
of her Lord Wednesday afternoon, October 17, 2012, following a courageous
battle with cancer. She was born May 2, 1942, in Oconto Falls to the late W.
Irving and Magdalen "Babe" (Goggins) Vincent. Lea grew up in Oconto Falls
where she attended St Anthony Catholic School and then Oconto Falls High
School, graduating with the Class of 1960. On May 12, 1962, she married
Norbert Lotter at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls. Lea was a
devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Lea lived in Oconto Falls all
her life where she was an active member of St. Anthony's, the Altar Rosary
Society, and a volunteer at Community Memorial Hospital and Kingdom Come
food pantry. As an avid bridge player, she participated in her bridge clubs
enjoying time with her many friends. Lea enjoyed spending time in her
kitchen where she could usually be found baking for her family, friends, and
many church functions.
Lea is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Norbert; her son Jim
(special friend Chris Doherty), Hobart; three daughters Sue (Mike)
Wendtland, Green Bay; Lynn (Dale) VandenLangenberg, Pulaski; Laurie (Dean)
Huss, Green Bay; her 15 grandchildren, Dan and Lauren Lotter; Evan, Collin,
Adam, and Bryan Wendtland; Amber (fiancé Tony Herkert), Kayla, and Paige
VandenLangenberg; Stephanie, Jake, Cody, Brooke, Shaun, Joshua Huss; one
sister, Ann Vincent, Appleton; four sisters-in-law, Bonnie Vincent, Green
Bay; Margaret (Bernie) Laursen, Bloomington, MN; Carol (Don) Wellens, Diane
(Lee) Crozier, all of Oconto Falls; one brother-in-law, Marvin (Diane)
Lotter, Silvercliff; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, John and Caroline
Lotter; one brother Philip Vincent; one sister-in-law Rose Marie Crozier and
three nephews, John Lotter, Roger and Randy Wellens.
Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls after
11am Monday, October 22, 2012 until the time of service. Mass of Christian
Burial will be held 2pm Monday at the church with the Rev. Fr. Joel Sember
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Jones Funeral
Service in Oconto Falls is serving the Lotter family.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to St.
Anthony Catholic School building fund. The Lotter family would like to give
a heartfelt thank you to the caring staffs at Bellin Health in Oconto Falls,
the Oncology Department at St. Mary's Hospital, and Heartland Hospice,
especially Kimberlee and Anissa for their care and consideration shown Lea
and Norbert.
