Mrs. John M. Sladkey, 61, well-known resident of Oconto Falls, died at a Green Bay hospital Sunday noon after a four-month illness. She had been in business with her husband in a general store here for 27 years, was city treasurer for six years, collector for the water and light company for one year, and an officer of the Royal Neighbors lodge for 24 years. She was also a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge at Denmark.

Born Lydia Trapp, she was married to Mr. Sladkey January 9, 1899. He survives her with one son, Roy, Oconto Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Christensen and Mrs. Irvin Rasmussen, Green Bay; six sisters, Mrs. Ray Kittell and Mrs. Joseph Brey, De Pere; Mrs. Charles Doight, Milwaukee; Mrs. Albert Knudson, Dodge Center, Minn.; Mrs. Anna Fieck, Green Bay; and Mrs. Albert Reich, Electra, Tex.; three brothers, Henry Trapp, Oconto Falls; Albert Trapp, Maribel; and Fred Trapp, Rochester, Minn.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at the residence and at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Episcopal church with burial in Woodlawn cemetery.
