Mrs. Leone B. Meverden, 92,Oconto Falls, was received into the Lord's care early Friday morning, August 4, 2000 at Sharpe Care, Ltd., Oconto Falls.

The former Leone Tobin was born June 24, 1908 in South Dakota, one of nine children born to the late George and Nora (Hayes) Tobin. She married Maynard LeMere September 25, 1928 and he preceded her in death on June 7, 1959. She then married Lloyd Meverden May 6, 1961 and he preceded her in death in October of 1973. Leone was a member of St, Anthony Catholic Church, Oconto Falls and the Oconto Falls and Lena Senior Citizens.

Surviving are a son, Eugene LeMere: Green Bay; two daughters, Donna (Lyle) Whiting, Oconto and Marlene (Donald) Rolling, Madison; one sister, Marjorie Murray, Colorado Springs, CO; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; six step-children, Arlene Sievert, California; Mona (Clyde) Johnson, Wisconsin Rapids; Mary Ann Johnson, Marion; Anita (Jim) Moynihan, Oconto Fails; Rita Bergh, Green Bay; Greg (Ruth) Meverden, Oconto Falls; 65 step-grandchildren and 64 step-great-grandchildren.

Beside her parents and husbands, Leone was preceded in death by a son Jerrald; two brothers, Cecil and Kenneth; five sisters, Mamie, Agnes, Frances, Dorothy, and Clare; stepchildren, Glen, Nick, and Kenneth; five sisters, Mamie, Agnes, Frances, Dorothy, and Glare; stepchildren, Glen, Nick, Jerry, and Hillary Meverden, Aurlia Nueber, and Margie Wallace, as well as three stepgrandchildren.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Joseph Site, Park Avenue, Oconto from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2000. Mass of Resurrection 11 a.m, Saturday at the Church. The Rev. Fr. David C. Ruby officiating. Interment at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Lena. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund has been established.
