DEATH CLAIMS LOUIS TESSIER  
 

OCONTO FALLS - Louis Tessier, 67, of 373 Main St., died at 2:45 a.m., today at Community Memorial Hospital. He had been taken there at 1:45 a.m. by the rescue squad after suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Tessier, who was familiarly known as Pete, had been employed by the Oconto County highway department before his retirement in 1961.

He was born May 24, 1895, in Oconto and lived in the county most of his life. He married the former Anna Massard June 20, 1916, at Laona. They operated a tavern at Spruce for some time and he also worked for a short time at Sturgeon Bay shipyards.

Surviving with his wife are four daughters and two sons. They are Mrs. Jean Valentine, Sylvan and Jerry Tessler of Green Bay, Mrs. Arthur Judd and Mrs. Orville Mayer of Oconto Galls and Mrs. David Nelson of Minneapolis. A son, Gordon, died Dec. 1, 1962.

Also surviving are three brothers, Elzer of Oconto,Charles and Alfred Tessler of Oconto Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Euana Butterfield of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Luoise Heller of Everett, Wash., and Mrs. Ada Dennison of Isabella, Mich., and 15 grandchildren.

The Rev. Joseph Tornczyk will officiate at the 10 a.m., requiem mass Friday in St. Anthony's Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Soulek funeral home after 2 p. m., Thursday. The rosary service will be Thursday at 8 p.m.
