Mrs. William Phillips, 76, 215 Scherer Ave, Oconto, died Thursday afternoon at the Oconto Memorial hospital. She had been ill for three years.
The former Lucy Sullivan was born February 25, 1891 in Bellevue, Wisconsin. She was married to William Phillips on May 7, 1910, at Menominee, Mich. they lived in Oconto all their married life. She was a member of St Joseph's Catholic church, the Altar Rosary Society and the Catholic Woman's club.
Friends called at the MacQueen funeral home after 10 A.M. Sunday, with the parish rosary at 8:15 PM and the Rev Norbert Vand Loo officiated at final rites Monday morning in St Joseph's church. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery at Oconto.
She is survived by her husband, William; two daughters, Eunice, Mrs. Wilfred Leneau, Oconto, and Miss Marjorie Phillips, also of Oconto; two sons, Edmund and Eugene Phillips of Oconto and Milwaukee respectively; three brothers, J. H Sullivan Grand Rapids, MN; William T. Sullivan, Madison; and Edward Sullivan, Green Bay; a sister, Mrs. A. H Reimonn, Sturgis, Michigan; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
