Lisa Marie Strom-Meyer, 35, Oconto died Monday, July 23, 2001 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born on April 11, 1966 to Alvin and Sandra (Alsteen) Strom of Oconto. She married Steve Meyer on July 5, 1997 and together they raised their daughter, Mikayla Amber Lee. She also has a stepdaughter, Brittany Meyer.

Lisa will be sadly missed by her husband Steve and her daughter Mikayla who was the light of her life. Her parents Alvin and Sandra Strom, Oconto; three brothers Kevin, Oconto; Jonathon, Green Bay; and Todd, Norman, OK; her grandpa, Leland Alsteen, Lena; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandma, Viola Alsteen.

Lisa was a special person who had many friends and family that loved her deeply and proved that by being with her and helping her through this tough battle with cancer. She treasured them all from the autistic children she helped at the Oconto School to the many girlfriends with whom she shared many special laughs and tears. Lisa enjoyed country music, especially Sawyer Brown and Brooks & Dunn.

Just recently with the help of her loving family she was able to attend Country USA for a few nice hours. Lisa loved camping whether it was the yearly family camping at Shakey Lakes or the many special trips that the Strom family would go on. Just this past spring she went on her last camping trip with her whole family, including Grandpa Alsteen, to Siesta Beach, Florida. She was able to watch the dolphins and go for rides in the Gulf on the family boat, walking on the beach looking for shells and watching Mikayla and Brittany also sharing the love of her family around the campsite. Lisa loved the outdoors and children, she enjoyed camping, snowmobiling with Steve, swimming, flowers, and sitting on her patio.
