Lucille P. DuBois, 83, born in Oconto, Wisconsin on October 22, 1915, died at the Life Care Center in Rochester on February 27, 1999. Her parents were Fred and Emeline Bourscier Smith. She married Robert O. DuBois on January 5, 1935 in Plymouth. He died on April 17, 1973.

Mrs. DuBois, with her Husband and son Howard, co-owned B.F. Fretz Abstract Company, Rochester. She was active in Rochester First Christian Church, serving as chairwoman of the Mission Committee, and teaching Sunday School and Junior Church. She was director of senior activities at Rochester Civic Center, Secretary of the Fulton County AARP and member of Fulton County Council on Aging, United Ministries, and Prill School Museum. She received the Rochester and Lake Manitou Rochester Rochester Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award in 1983. She was the founder and leader of the senior citizens Golden Agers musical and comedy group and a prominent local entertainer and piano player for Pam & Louise Dance Studio, at Maggie's Restaurant and area nursing homes.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Ellen Biddinger, Ho Chi Minn City, Vietnam; two sons, Howard Allen and wife Anita DuBois, Rochester, and Marvin James and wife Cindy DuBois, Plano, Texas; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; son-in-law, James Z. Baker, Logansport; one sister Monica "Mona" Barlow, Raymond, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Colette Baker in 1993 and by three half brothers.

Services are 3 pm Sunday at Rochester First Christian Church with Rev. Chris Dodson officiating. Burial will be in Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 8 pm Saturday at Zimmerman Family Funeral Home, Rochester.
