SHAWANO - Leah Dittman, age 71, died Thursday, January 28, 1999, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah. She was born November 27, 1927, in the Town of Underhill (Oconto County), to the late Gustav and Bessie (Wilson) Schroeder. Leah married George W. Dittman, April 1949, in Shawano. He preceded her in death March 23, 1977. She was employed by the former Lynnwood Products, Mosling, until her retirement in 1986. She also owned and operated Dittman's Boats and Baits, Cecil for many years. Leah enjoyed music, playing piano for herself, and attending her grandchildren's school events.

Leah is survived by her children and their spouses: Christine and Donald Falk, Shawano; Daniel and Shirley, David and Andrea, all of Cecil; Connie Van Lannen and her special friend Tom Oberle, Shawano, nine grandchildren: Nathan and Nicole Falk; Daniel R. Dittman; Jeremy, Billie Jo and Joshua Fifield; Gina (Jim) Giese; Coty and Mitchell Van Lannen; two great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Erin Norton; and one sister: Mildred Cronce, Shawano.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers Glynn, Clyde, and Raymond Schroeder; and one sister, Marion Roberts.

Pallbearers were: David, Dan, and Daniel R. Dittman, Don and Nathan Falk, Dennis Schroeder.

The funeral was held Tues., Feb. 2 at Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, with Mr. Charles Thain officiating. Interment in the Underhill cemetery, Town of Underhill. -
