She was employed as a sample shoemaker for Smitty's Shoe Manufacturing of Oconto. On July 20, 1946, Lorraine was united in marriage to Norbert Aubry. The couple resided in Oconto until 1974 when Lorraine and Nubs moved to Largo, Florida. They continued to return to Oconto in the summer months.
While living in Oconto Lorraine was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, now Holy Trinity, and was currently a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church of Largo, Florida. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Norbert; by a daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Boe Bostedt, Oconto; by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven and Susie Aubry, Two Rivers and Richard Aubry, Rock Hill, SC; a sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Willard Deprey, Abrams; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mass of Resurrection was held on March 21, 2001 at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Largo. The Rite of Committal will be held at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery, and will be announced at a later date by Ackerman Funeral Directors & Cremation Service, Oconto, who are assisting the family locally.
