OCONTO - Lyle O. Fonder, 75, 101 First St., Oconto passed away Sunday, March 18, 2001 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center. Lyle was born July 28, 1925 at Oconto Falls to the late Henry and Martha (Restau) Fonder. He married Audrey Longsine February 19, 1944. She preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 2000. Lyle worked for Anderson Electric of Green Bay and the City of Oconto Street Department , retiring in 1987. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish.

Survivors include two sons, Michael J. (Robin) Fonder, Oconto; Marty J (Lisa) Fonder, Oconto; sisters-in-law Evelyn Fonder, Oconto Falls; Angela Longsine, Green Bay; Viola Longsine, Green Bay; Edith Brown, Kenosha; Clarice Brown, Kenosha; brothers-in-law Orville VanDeHei Sr., Vernon (Shelly) Longsine and Gerald (June) Longsine both of Oconto; three nephews and a niece Leonard (Evie) Fonder, Kevin (Rochelle) Anderson Pam (Mark) Honald, Orville VanDeHei Jr.; eight grandchildren Cory (Brenda) Fonder, Abrams; Stacey Fonder and special friends Troy Gabreil, Lena; Amanda Fonder, Adam Ellman, Stephanie Fonder, Adam Albert, Kevin (Alissa) Young, and Josh Young, all of Oconto; two great grandchildren Meghan Young and Devayn Young.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, daughter and son-in-law Robert and Faye Young, a brother Lawrence Fonder, two sisters Doris Anderson, Nila VanDeHei.

The Gallagher Funeral Home assisted the family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday , March 21, 2001 at Holy Trinity Parish with Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Burial will be at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
