Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church Monday morning at nine o'clock for Louis Marek, 59, who died at the Oconto hospital at 11:30 last Friday morning. He had been ailing for the past year and a half.

The deceased was born Feb. 12, 1883 in Oconto and lived here his entire live.

Rev. M. J. Alt of St. Joseph's Catholic church officiated at Monday's services. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery, and the pallbearers were John Dagen, Joseph Sedmihradsky, George Ansorge, Martin Van Rossum, Lewis Smith and Giles La Violette.

The deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs. William Merline, Oconto, and three brothers, Joseph, Milwaukee; William, Iron Mountain, Mich., and John, Oconto.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral services included Mr. and Mrs. William Marek and Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Marek of Iron Mountain; Joseph Marek of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Tiege, Marinette; and Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Van Rossum, Shawano
